The collection

Illustrated stories to read, treasure and pass on.

The Tales of Zoufftgen are a collection of illustrated tales written and illustrated by Hélène Hardy.

Each story is rooted in a place, a season, a tree or a memory of Zoufftgen, before opening the door to imagination.

More than a story

A child drawing, inspired by The Tales of Zoufftgen A heritage page from a Tale of Zoufftgen

Each album is designed as a workshop-tale.

Alongside the illustrated story come activities to extend the reading as a family: step-by-step drawings, recipes, nature observations and discoveries inspired by the story.

Each tale is also linked to a place, a character or an event that really existed in Zoufftgen. A documentary page lets young readers discover the heritage and the stories of the village that inspired the adventure.

Imagination thus extends into the real, long after the last page.

Stories to read and to pass on

Designed as true keepsake books, The Tales of Zoufftgen rely on durable materials and careful finishes: hardcover, thick matte paper and gilded details that accompany the reading without ever overshadowing the story.

Books designed to travel through the years and to be passed on from generation to generation.

A world built book after book

Some tales respond to each other and extend the adventures of characters already met, while others explore new stories inspired by the village.

All take root in the same world, between nature, memory and imagination.
